Virtual Rally held as CM Naveen Patnaik seeks Support for Tirtol Assembly

Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik conducted a virtual rally to appeal to the voters of the Tirtol Assembly constituency in Jagatsinghpur district to support BJD in the November 3 by-election.

Keeping in mind the current scenario, the party organised a virtual rally to appeal to the public. Addressing the rally, the BJD supremo praised the constant love and support that BJD has received from the people of Tirtol.

“I am indebted to your love and affection for me. I am aware that you are not able to meet me due to the pandemic situation. I will visit your area and meet you in person once the situation improves”, said the CM expressing his inability to visit the constituency. “Bishnu babu met me often to discuss the development of Tirtol and was seeking my help to solve your problems. I request you to elect the BJD candidate Bijay Shankar Das in this by-election to complete his unfinished works for the constituency”, he added while highlighting the great work carried out by leader Bishnu Charan Das.

Mentioning the developments that have taken place in Tirtol, he highlighted the construction of two bridges on the river Mahanadi, which has improved the road connectivity in the area. Many regulatory measures have also been implemented by the government controlling floods in Tirtol, said Patnaik. The CM also added that the top priority for the government is creation of jobs for the unemployed, improving the education and health care system.

The CM praised the Mission Shakti movement in Tirtol and urged the members to continue with their good work. He also mentioned Odisha’s emergence as a model at times of COVID-19 pandemic and asked the people to strictly adhere to the guidelines and maintain social distancing norms at the polling booths.

Notably, the CM is set to conduct a similar virtual rally to address the people of Balasore Assembly Constituency at 4:30pm today.
