Naveen Patnaik launches Advanced Sanitation Operation In Sundargarh

In a major revamp for sanitation in Sundargarh, CM Naveen Patnaik has inaugurated advanced sanitation facilities in the district. During the video-conferencing launch of the event, Patnaik praised sanitation staff saying that they are the greatest workers of society.

The advanced sanitary management system was launched for Rourkela Municipal Corporation (RMC) including Birmitrapur Municipality, Kutra and Koida blocks of Sundargarh district. For service in these regions, around 190 modern vehicles & machines were enlisted. A policy was put into place for the functioning of a micro composting centre & waste management. Quoting Mahatma Gandhi’s comment that ‘sanitation is more important than independence’, Patnaik asserted that a healthy environment is the foundation of prosperity. The advanced full-fledged facilities will benefit the people staying near the mines area.

In a tweet this morning, the Chief Minister’s Office conveyed: “Praising Mission Shakti members for their contribution in different developmental programmes, CM said SHG members did very good work in creating awareness on sanitation. CM urged all to make cleanliness life’s motto & work towards creating a healthy & beautiful future for kids”
