Free Civil Services Coaching To Underprivileged Students In Odisha

Odisha government’s Department of Higher Education has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Dhyeya Educational Services Pvt. Ltd, to provide comprehensive, quality based coaching to civil service aspirants of the state. This will help in increasing the success rate and the interest of students to pursue a career in civil services.

The government will offer 75% fee waiver to students selected under this scheme, and 100% waiver to students with family income of upto 2 lakhs per annum, a statement said.

In addition, the Department of Higher Education has signed another MoU with the Department of Telecommunication, Ministry of Communication, Government of India to create smart and virtual classrooms in 101 colleges aided by the state government. These classrooms would be equipped with Desktops, Interactive White Boards, Short Throw-Projectors, Portable Visualizers, Wireless Microphones, Cameras and more.

Anant Das, Minister of Higher Education has also launched the Standard Uniform Syllabi for undergraduates, in line with international standards. To make the project a grand success, a committee was formed under the Higher Education Department, Govt. of Odisha containing Vice Chairperson of Odisha State Higher Education Council and experienced educationalists from various universities.
