Five Easy Ways You Can Sneak ‘Me Time’ into Your Schedule

“You first, always” – this sentence looks fabulous on paper, but is incredibly hard to implement. Most of us are trying to stay afloat while tight deadlines, chores, long working hours and a million other tasks wash over us. Finding ‘me time’ amidst this mayhem can be difficult, but it is not impossible. There are two very important things that you need to keep in mind before you conclude that you’re just too busy to kickback or cannot afford to take a break. One, busyness doesn’t necessarily equal productivity. Two, what’s your motivation to make time for yourself?

An important thing to do before you cut yourself some slack is to ask yourself WHY you want to. What do you really want to do? Finding your why is monumental to changing your habits. You need to convince yourself that your why is an integral part of your day – just like everything else that demands your time and attention. Once you’ve done that, you’re halfway there. Remember, having a smaller goal is better than not having one at all.
