In a glamorous ceremony held at Kolkata, Sheetal Sahu won the crown of Femina Miss India Odisha 2019. The winners of the East zone were announced on April 23, all of whom qualified to participate in the finale. Sheetal won the title defeating Tamannah Vyas and Arupa Rath.
Finalists from the states of Chhattisgarh, Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha, Sikkim, Assam, Mizoram, Tripura, Nagaland, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur and West Bengal, competed for the most coveted beauty pageant of the country, Femina Miss India 2019.
The judge’s panel for the pageant consisted of the elegant ladies Rituparna Sen Gupta, Esha Gupta and East Zone mentor Neha Dhupia.
Expressing her delight with the win, Sheetal said, “I come from a humble background. My mother, as opposed to my father, was very supportive of my endeavour. However, he is quite happy after my success. Miss India 2019 is a step for every beautiful girl towards glamour.”
Sheetal will now be competing for the grand finale on June 15 at Mumbai. The finalists of FBB Colors Femina Miss India 2019 will be put to rigorous training and grooming sessions by the experts of the industry.
Sheetal Sahu, hailing from Rayagada district, is a software engineer by profession and works in Mumbai.
