State Government Announces Plus-III, PG Final Semester Exam Dates

On April 30, Odisha’s Higher Education Minister Arun Kumar Sahoo had appealed to the students of Odisha to prepare well for the higher secondary exams which were anticipated to be conducted on any feasible day post the lockdown.

Yesterday, the Odisha Higher Education Department announced that the Plus-III Final Semester examinations will be conducted between June 20 and July 24, 2020, and post-graduate (PG) final semester examinations before August 20. The official press notice issued by the Department of Higher Education said, “the result of UG final examinations will be declared by August 31 while the results of the PG final year examinations will be announced by September 20”.

Following the revised guidelines issued by the University Grants Commission (UGC) on commencement of the academic session, a two-hour-long video conference meeting was chaired by State Higher Education Minister Arun Sahoo from the Lok Seva Bhawan. Vice-chancellors of all the universities attended the meeting.

Sahoo, briefing the media after the meeting said, “the common entrance test for PG courses in all universities will be conducted between September and October 2020. After the admission is over, the classes will commence from November 2020.”
