CBSE Result 2020: Bhubaneswar Ranks 8th in India as per Pass Percentage

Bhubaneswar appears in the top 10 list of cities in India as per the pass percentage of Class 12 CBSE exam result. The capital city of Odisha ranks 8th in the list with a pass percentage of 91.46%.

Region-wise passing percentage of CBSE Class 12 Exam

Trivandrum takes the top spot in the list with a pass percentage of 97.67%, followed by Bengaluru and Chennai with 97.05% and 96.17% respectively. Meanwhile, West Delhi and East Delhi secure the 4th and 5th positions.

Out of the 11.9 lakh students who appeared for the CBSE 2020 exam, 10.5 lakh students have passed. This takes the total pass percentage to 88.78%, around 5.3% higher than the last year. Once again, girls outperform boys with a pass percentage of 92.15% as against 86.19%. Notably, the pass percentage among transgenders is 66.67%.

CBSE has declared these results using an alternative method of evaluation after some papers were cancelled due to Covid-19. As per the new norms, marks have been awarded taking into consideration the best performing subjects of each child.
