Bhubaneswar Development Authority Brings More ‘Light’ To The City of Temples

The city of temples has undergone a significant makeover through implementation of new age lighting on its renowned, world famous temples. The ‘Light Sculpture Project’ undertaken by the Bhubaneswar Development Authority (BDA) will illuminate a total of 16 temples in the old town area of the state capital, with Anantavasudeva Temple being the most recent completion.

In addition to the aforementioned Vishnu Temple, the project will also illuminate the iconic structures of Markandeswar Temple, Sari Temple, Vaital Temple, Bhabanisankar Temple, Chitrakrini Temple to name a few. The revolutionary project has also been responsible for the recent high-tech illumination of four major flyovers i.e. Vani Vihar, Acharya Vihar, Jaydev Vihar, Rajmahal Square and six public parks across Bhubaneswar.

With such unique initiatives being taken up by the state government, Bhubaneswar is slowly and steadily competing with the most technologically advanced cities in the world. The city also made its mark on the world map by recently hosting one of the most exhilarating Hockey World Cup that the game has seen. Bhubaneswar is witnessing rapid developments in all spheres and it’s safe to say that the citizens of Odisha have all the reasons to anticipate an exciting future ahead.
