CM Inaugurates Adani-KISS Tribal Residential School

Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik inaugurated the Adani-KISS Tribal Residential School set up in Mayurbhanj district and congratulated the Adani Group and KISS management for coming up with the idea.”Empowerment and change can only be possible through education,” said Patnaik.

“In the first phase, 1,500 students of Mayurbhanj district will be enrolled from standard I to XII. The students who pass standard XII from Adani-KISS can pursue their higher education in KISS Deemed to be University, Bhubaneswar,” said KISS founder Achyuta Samanta.

Commenting on this landmark achievement, Priti Adani, Chairperson of the Adani Foundation, said, “Education is the most powerful tool for social transformation. Adani Foundation is happy to strengthen the educational scenario in the far off tribal areas of Odisha by partnering with the prestigious Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS).”

The Adani-KISS school, established on 50 acres of land, is fully equipped with all modern facilities. The school has been set up with complete financial support provided by the Adani Foundation.

On the same day, a 50-bed hospital was also inaugurated on the campus by Priti Adani. The 24×7 hospital will be managed by the Kalinga Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS), Bhubaneswar and will serve the students and staff of the newly established school, as well as the people of Mayurbhanj district.
